Setting a New Standard of Clean at Little Lukes Preschool
How is Little Lukes Staying Clean?
It is our top priority to ensure that our daycare centers are safe and clean for the children in our care and our staff. At this time, we are only allowing our staff and children in the centers. Every morning when the children arrive, we conduct a health test outside to make sure they are not showing any signs of illness that require them to stay home. Each hour, surfaces that are frequently touched like door handles, light switches, faucets, toilet handles, iPads, countertops, etc. are all disinfected. In addition, students and staff are required to wash their hands before and after leaving a classroom, before and after each meal, before and after diapering, after using the bathroom and at least once an hour. Here at Little Lukes, we have also taken the necessary measures to improve the air quality inside our buildings and to disinfect all surfaces in our buildings. We have installed Intellipure, medical-grade air purifiers in each center and use a Clorox 360 or Xyfection electrostatic sprayer to completely disinfect every surface, front and back, every week. With these new additions, Little Lukes is significantly decreasing sickness within our centers and paving the way for a new standard of clean in CNY daycares!
Electrostatic Sprayers
Each center is disinfected every week with a Clorox 360 or Xyfection electrostatic mister. Electrostatic disinfection is a process that involves spraying electrostatically charged sanitizing solution onto surfaces and objects. As the solution exits the sprayer, a positively charged mist envelopes and naturally adheres to negatively charged nearby objects for a 360 degree coating. The positive electrical charge helps the droplets naturally attract to nearby objects and cover the underside and backside of each surface with the sanitizing spray, even if the mist is only sprayed from one side. Electrostatic disinfection sprayers are designed to cover hard to reach places and even cover areas that the mister isn't directly pointed towards. At Little Lukes we use the Clorox Total 360 Disinfectant Cleaner with the 360 mister. When sprayed onto surfaces, this disinfectant claims to:
- Kill 99.99% of bacteria in 5 seconds
- Kill cold and flu viruses, MRSA and norovirus in 2 minutes or less
- Sanitize hard and soft surfaces
- Inhibit the growth of mold and mildew for up to 7 days

Medical Grade Air Purifiers
Little Lukes has partnered with Intellipure to install medical-grade air purifiers, which remove allergens, chemicals, toxins, germs, odors, and most importantly, airborne viruses inside the centers. All Intellipure Systems are handcrafted and tested individually to guarantee the highest level of filtration possible. All of our centers are equipped with an Intellipure system to reduce the spread of illness among the children in our care and our staff members.
