Milestones for Babies by the End of 9 months
Milestones for babies and Infants by the end of 9 months: 

Consider discussing with your child’s physician if one or more of the following are observed:

qSeems stiff, with tight muscles
qSeems floppy, with limp muscles
qLack of head control (unable to keep head up)
qHead flops back when pulled to sitting position
qOne or both eyes turn in or out often
qDoes not smile
qDoes not sit with support by 6 months
qDoes not laugh or squeal by 6 months
qLack of differentiated cry (crying differently for hunger, comfort, diaper change etc.)
qLittle to no babbling
qDoes not roll
qDoes not engage in simple play with toys
qDoes not watch a moving object by turning head to follow it
qDifficult to comfort during the night
qDoes not attract attention through actions
qExperiences a dramatic loss of skill he/she once had

Each child develops at his/her own pace. Do not be alarmed if your child does not follow this exact sequence. If you have concerns about your child’s development, contact your doctor.
