Meet the Director: Oswego

Meet the Director: Oswego

Over the past 17 years I’ve worked throughout Oswego County and Onondaga County, with innumerable children, families, colleagues, and agencies. I’ve worked within two Little Lukes centers, and I’ve also worked traveling and going into family’s homes. There is truly no profession that is more impactful than those that involve working with other people’s children. Families are entrusting us with their whole world, their most precious little being and we get to be the ones to support them in these critical early years. We become family to one another, sharing everything from daily updates to major life events, celebrating joys & successes while seeing one another through challenges.

Our entire team of teachers, therapists, and other staff members have their whole hearts invested in every child, every day. We continuously go above & beyond to not only meet every child’s needs but to ensure they exceed all expectations to grow & develop into their very best. Every day I am both impressed and thankful to be a part of a team who not only knows so much, but also genuinely cares so much. At Little Lukes we aren’t just educators; we thoroughly enjoy seeing children successes in all areas of their development and play such an influential role in supporting their growth as good, kind, successful, caring and happy human beings while also nurturing their development of positive relationships with others.

While so many other preschools and childcare centers offer great programs with great teams, there are a multitude of things that set us apart. Our integrated preschool program plays a major role in setting us apart because it offers so much to both our children and our teams. The variety in children’s developmental abilities, skills and strengths really showcase the differences among us all and we love celebrating that. Having Special Education Teachers and additional assistants in each room helps us to offer the support children need to develop their own success within the classroom setting as independent learners. While a number of our children receive services from our team of Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapists on site, every child benefits from the knowledge and experience they share and demonstrate with our classroom teaching teams. The experience, opportunities, resources, support, training, and collaboration we offer our staff allow for us to recruit and retain the best people for our team - the best people for our children, families, and communities. We’re all here because we choose to be. Little Lukes is where we want to be. We’re doing what we love, with people we love, for people we love. I believe that we’re the best just as I believe the children & families we get to serve are the best.

I look forward to meeting every family, parent, and child. I can always be contacted at meg@littlelukes.com or (315) 342-4600.
