Earn a base salary of $50,000 per year and work with young children ages 0-5, in Early Intervention and Preschool services. Plus earn an annual bonus for productivity, with an opportunity to earn upwards of $75,000 or more each year.

The biggest challenge (and opportunity) with home-based or itinerant speech language pathology jobs in Watertown NY and Oswego NY area has always been the "pay per visit" structure. You are paid for every speech visit and evaluation. This is great for moms with young kids who want a flexible schedule, or therapists who want part time speech pathology jobs. It is fantastic for new grads who want to pay off college loans and save, because there is no limit on how many children you can accept on your caseload!
But many speech pathologists say they need a set salary to get a mortgage or car loan. You can choose the towns, counties and age groups - many therapists prefer just preschool age, or certain parts of Oswego County or Jefferson County to limit driving.
