Little Lukes is now offering potential expense reimbursement to Little Lukes teachers for Students with Disabilities (birth-grade 2) and Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2) certifications. “We’re excited to be offering this as a benefit for our teachers because it’s just another way we can help them provide the best quality educational childcare,” says Tim Alberts, Little Lukes Regional Director. So what exactly does this reimbursement include?

 

Little Lukes Benefits: Birth to Grade 2 Certification Expense Reimbursement

 

Potential expense reimbursement the Students with Disabilities (birth-grade 2) and Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2) certifications includes the following fees:

 

·      Application Fee for B-2 in TEACH system

·      Testing Fee required for B-2 Content Specialty Test (CST) (CST Multi-Subject: Teachers of Early Childhood (Birth - Grade 2)

·      Testing Fee required for Students with Disabilities B-2 Content Specialty Test: CST Students with Disabilities

·      The 2 classes needed to add the extension for B-2 Special Education or Early Childhood Education. Expenses may include class fees, non-matriculated enrollment fees, and required book. Maximum 6 credit hours will be considered for reimbursement.

We have found that some of our teachers did not have the opportunity to take the classes and testing required for these certifications through their college program. As a result, they are required to go back to school for more education after they graduate, which can be difficult once a person has entered the workforce. “We want our teachers to have the opportunities to be the best and most qualified person for the job,” says Tim Alberts, Little Lukes Regional Director. As a way to aid in this process we are offering to assist in the expenses for the necessary classes, application fees, and testing fees to gain the Students with Disabilities (birth-grade 2) and Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2) certifications.
