Best of Both Worlds: Quality and Affordable Education for Your Preschooler

And just like that, suddenly your toddler has become a
preschooler! 3 years old is such a big age for kids. There are so many
uncertainties. Will they love preschool? Will they make lots of friends?
But all uncertainties aside, there’s one thing all parents
can be sure of. We want our children to be preschool ready and we want their
next year to be spent properly preparing them for kindergarten. By the time
they are 4 years old they should be well on their way to becoming kindergarten
ready.
Choosing the Right
Preschool
Every parent wants their child to have the best education, and rightfully so! A case study by Nobel Prize-winning economist, James Heckman, showed that adults were 20% more likely to graduate high school just by attending preschool.
When choosing a preschool for your child, we urge you to
choose a full time program. If simply attending preschool increases a child’s
chance of graduating high school, then think of the benefits from attending a
quality program with a full day of curriculum taught by certified teachers. You
child’s future deserves full time, quality preschool.
Little Lukes is a full time, certified preschool offering
competitive curriculum that’s taught by certified teachers. All Little Lukes
teachers must be certified and must attend yearly training and
continuing education. In addition, Little Lukes offers an in-house staff of
speech language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
We believe early childhood education and development is the most important
aspect of our community.
What if I can’t
afford preschool? Can I receive assistance?
No parent should have to choose a
lower quality education for their child due to finances. At Little Lukes, we
care about our community and the future of our community. Little Lukes proudly collaborates with the Child
Care Subsidy Program to offer quality education to children of families that
meet New York state’s low income guidelines. This includes people who need child care to work, look for work, attend
employment training, or is already on Temporary Assistance. Temporary
Assistance is available to those who are unable to work, can’t find a job, or
who’s job does not pay enough. If you are not able to afford tuition fees, we
urge you to apply for assistance. The Child Care Subsidy Program offers full
and part assistance based off of household income.

Does my child need to be potty trained to attend Little Lukes?
No, there is no age requirement
for children to be potty trained. We recognize all children develop at a
different pace. When both parents and teachers see signs of readiness, we will
nurture this by working with both you and your child, to achieve a stress-free
transition for all. Potty training should be a non-stressful experience as the
child transitions from diapers to using the toilet independently. Potty
training is not a requirement for preschool attendance.
How can I enroll my child at Little Lukes Educational Preschool and
Childcare?
Little Lukes provides
an excellent curriculum, a nurturing, safe environment and caring childcare
professionals to help children develop vital learning skills and social
confidence. Our age-specific programs, play spaces, and state-of-the-art
security systems combine to create an atmosphere ideal for early childhood
education.
